| Biking in Lebanon |
| Lebanon, the "Switzerland of the Middle East", with Phoenician cities with quaint ports on the Mediterranean coast, and the high plains of the Bekaa valley is the ideal country for biking. During this trip we will discovery the archaeological highlights of the country, such as Baalbeck, Beiteddine, Tyre and Byblos. We will bike through little villages scattered in the beautiful Lebanese mountains and discover the coastline between Jounieh and Beirut. Along the trip, we will be welcomed by a warm "ahlan wa sahlan" (welcome) from the Lebanese and be invited for a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the good life in the mountains. We will take time to go and see the majestic Cedar tree, the symbol of Lebanon and feel "on top of the world" from the Cedars Pass. The trip ends in modern Beirut, which we also discovery biking along the Corniche, a favourite hang out for Beiruti's, especially around sunset. | | | | Duration | 9 Days / 8 Nights | | Theme | Biking | | Group | 6 - 16 pax | | Period | May - December | | Transportation | Local Bike hire, Transfers by Minibus or Bus | | Team | Local Tour Leader | | Accommodation | | | Notes | | Technically:
